The aim

Create a larger, light-filled kitchen with generous working space and a direct connection to the garden.

ES BUILD’s scope

Rear extension works from foundations and steel framing to brickwork, roofing and glazing, followed by kitchen installation and interior finishes. The gallery also includes a fitted shower room.

Key decision

Combine a vaulted ceiling with four rooflights to bring daylight into the centre of the extension. A central island organises the kitchen beneath the pendant lighting.

The result

A finished kitchen with pale cabinetry, a veined island and large floor tiles, opening towards the garden through dark-framed glazing. Exterior construction photographs show the garden before completion.
